Cal NERDS is proud to partner with Compass' Jesse Livezey to host a LaTeX workshop for UC Berkeley students.
October 3, 2016, 5:30 to 6:30 pm | 230-C Stephens Hall

LaTeX is a typesetting language for creating scientific documents, technical reports, research presentations, etc. It is the standard typesetting tool for writing papers in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, etc because of its ability to typeset complex formulas. It allows one to easily write equations, add figures and tables, and organize citations for documents. It can also be useful for taking notes, writing final reports and writing up problem sets. In this workshop, you will be exposed to online tools which allow easy LaTeX document creating and collaboration. You’ll also go over the basics of creating a document plus adding figures, tables, and equations. You will need to show your student Cal ID.
